Community Employers WA represents not-for-profit employers in the non-government sector of Western Australia.

CEWA was registered as an Employer Organisation by the WA Industrial Commission in September 2009 after 29 community employers started meeting in late 2007 to discuss common issues as employers.

CEWA’s primary objective is to secure a 30% increase in government funding to non-government, not-for-profit community service organisations in Western Australia, to increase the capacity of these organisations to pay fair and just wages to their staff and continue to deliver essential community services.

CEWA is governed by the Rules of Community Employers WA 19 April 2012.
